Hello, my Bibbles!!!!!
Last Thursday was one of those days that turned into a mini adventure.
My friends and I planned to catch the 11:34 train; some of us almost missed it. I mean, is it really a beach trip if you aren't almost missing the public transportation there ๐คจ?
We spent the day playing games like unclogging a toilet, horses, wrestling in the sand, and just being ridiculous. It was a very windy and chilly day, so windy that it made it impossible to eat our food on the beach unless we wanted part food and part sand for lunch.
After lunch, we decided to climb up to the Facho cliffs at the entrance of the lagoon. We went to an old lighthouse, or what is left of it, and stayed until it was dark out. It was very peaceful and a lot of fun. We spent our time up there playing Uno, singing musicals, and snapping pics of the stunning views.
The highlight of the night was when, on our way back, we saw a fireworks show down the cliff, coming from a boat๐. We all stopped at an ice cream shop, had some strawberries with chocolate, talked and laughed like crazy.
Then came the train panic.
We arrived at the station, and we were all on edge if the train was actually coming. Since our last trip, the train had never ended up coming because they decided to go on strike ๐ญ.
We got there a few minutes before the time we were supposed to leave, 19:48. As 20:00 came around, we all started worrying that the train had decided to take a surprise strike again.
We were searching Comboios de Portugal and Google like crazy, trying to figure out if there was a chance the train had decided to disappear on us. On Google, we found out that it was actually about a 30 min wait for the train to arrive. Right before we were going to call a parent to come get us, we heard the warning sirens from the train tracks.
The Train Was Here!!!!!!!!
And somehow, it was technically four minutes earlier than the time it took to get there according to Google, lol.
After getting off the train and back to our home city, my friend’s dad very kindly picked us up and dropped us off at McDonald's, where we had a delicious dinner. He came back for us afterward and dropped me and two other friends at my house, since we had planned a sleepover.
Safe to say that this was a day to remember and one that I will always look back on and laugh about. Here are a few of my favorite memories from the day ๐ธ๐
